Overview
This device emulates the Ford ESCL unit and is compatible with Ford Ranger 2019+ models.
The Ford emulator is Plug & Play, no programming is required.
The ELV system is a recurring mechanical failure of the steering column lock. The occurrence of this failure does not depend on any other malfunction.
In case of malfunction, even if the vehicle key works perfectly, the vehicle will not start because the ELV steering column lock will not activate.
In this case, a new ELV steering column lock must be installed and then programmed into the vehicle.
Steering lock failure is one of the most common problems in many vehicles, including the Ford Ranger 2019+ starting system. When the lock is faulty, the vehicle will not start even with a working key, until a new lock is ordered from a Ford dealer.

This emulator replaces faulty Ford ESCL units. It is compatible with Ford Ranger 2019+ models equipped with the original part number JB3C-3F880-AD.
Vehicle Installation
- Turn off the ignition.
- Plug the ESL connector into our emulator.
- The SCL only works when it receives open and close signals.
- Press the start button: the green LED will light up. If the red LED flashes, an error must be cleared with a diagnostic tool.
